Teen Challenge is blessed with a group of faithful committee members, individual sponsors and corporate event sponsors who helped to raise about $170,000 to meet the operating cost of the halfway house.
Teen Challenge Charity Cycling Event 2015
Heart of Courage was the first cycling event organized by Teen Challenge to raise funds for its operational needs. A total of 108 riders participated and successfully created awareness of a 24-hour residential programme in Singapore promoting drug-free living.
We were honoured to have Mr Desmond Lee, then Minister of Stateinthe Ministry of National Development to flag off the event on Saturday morning, 20 June 2015. The riders were received by Ms Low Yen Ling, then Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth at the finishing point with cheers and laughter.
Teen Challenge Participated in the 28th Sea Games 2015
Teen Challenge (Singapore) participated in the 28th Sea Games under its Torch Up! and Community Run on 4-June.
We are honored to be one of the community partners to build a sculptural art piece displayed at the Sports Hub on 30 May 2015. Every sculpture is strategically located at various points to demonstrate one spirit and one mind.
Community Run is an opportunity to uplift SPORTS among the young and old, including ex-offenders. This year, SEA GAME brings a legacy that sport is not necessarily for sports-personnel only.
The structure was built by our residents expressing their desire to change.
Every connecting piece that forms the shape of a human being was handwritten with luminous ink depicting words of courage and hope.
One who is willing to be transformed starts the journey of change from its core DNA, and the change takes place from the inner self before they become who they are.
